Change is good!

A new year has come and with it a time for change. Much needed change for me, the way I live and the way I used to see things. I believe it’s going to be a good year and hopefully a succesful year.

I have been accused by some of the people who read my blog that I tend to write only serious stuff and that is why I have decided to change the theme of my blog. It is a more serious appearance and I hope that this year I will make more time to write more on my blog and even promote it more amongst the community.

I will not write too much in this post and I hope that my readers will welcome the change I have brought to the blog. Cheers!

Enjoy CHRISTMAS!

ASID invites you on the the 10th of December to share the joy of Christmas with the children from the “Harap Alb” and the “Sfantu Vasile” orphanages. They in return will sing for us christmas carols, scenes depicting the birth of the our Lord and in the end the huge smiles that any children deserve to offer. We also invite you to make donations so we can truly make the Christmas of these children as beautiful as we can. The people who make a donation will also get to participate in the sweepstake where they will win prizes made by the children of the two orphanages. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I would like to take a moment and make an announcement about a very important event hosted by A.S.I.D.  It will be the greatest fare  in Bucharest  and one of the most original as you will be able to find hand-made objects and jewelery from local artists and craftsmen. If you are in Bucharest, from the 8th till the 10th of December, and near the University you should come and check it out and I assure you that you will enjoy it.

I would also like to mention the people responsible for the organisation of this event:

Simona Barbu

Alexandra Radu

Catalin Ion

Bogdan Rentea

I will be back!

Dear friends and readers,

A few days  have passed since I have written an article or even read the articles that I get through newsletters from a vast variety of publications. I know I’m an subscribe freak. But I go by that old saying that ” Knowledge is power” so… you get the picture. I have been very busy these days with exams and other activities that take time and have so priority in my life but I promise that in a few days I will and this chaotic month and start writing again. Till then are a number of great blogs out there for you to read, but just don’t forget about me, because I’ll be back.

By the way I will soon be starting an anti George Becali/ Free FC Steaua Bucharest campaign and I hope to raise some support for this cause. More information in the Sports section in due time.

Cheers!

Simona’s answer…

Today is going to be a most unusual post for me. But let’s start at the beginning. Yesterday, Simona, a dear friend of mine posted some thoughts about what a blog is suppose to be and about what and what not to write about in a blog. She also asked the question “What is the limit between a journal and virtual space?”. So today I’m going to take a few minutes, maybe more, to think and write a little about what does a blog mean and what should go in a blog.

Personally when I started this blog I did it for two reasons: First, to find interesting subjects to write, comment about because I was sick and still am of the news I get from my TV most newspapers or radio shows in Romania. Don’t get me wrong there are interesting articles but they are not promoted because of rating and subsequently money. Second, although I don’t have any experience as a journalist I always wanted to something in that area and maybe I will in the future (hey I’m still young what do you want) but till then I’m going to try my skill or lack of skill (for now) on this blog.

I know she asked about what is the limit between something personal like a journal you write you’re emotions, thoughts, beliefs in and the virtual space that the internet offers to share our thoughts, info, beliefs, upsets etc. Well, although I answered in some confused way up above about what the difference between the two, to be honest I have no clue about what the difference is and it is my belief that in this free space that you have on the internet you can write about whatever you want and how you want it because in the end it does not matter as long as people read it. If they appreciate it or not they can comment but as long as they read it and you get to make them fell what you feel, get them think what you think, get them know what you know then you made something good with that free space.

So for now I just have to say that I appreciate how she pores her soul’s emotions into that blog and tell her she is doing a great job and that she should continue because she is quite talented and it’s a waste to see such talent not do what she does so natural and so good. So, Simona, keep up the good work! Because you will always have a reader as long as I’m alive.
